CHELMSFORD -- After a successful career as an elementary school teacher and graphic designer, Emily Passman now devotes herself to making art full-time. Based in Lexington, Passman paints still-lifes and landscapes that maintain realism without losing a sense of the abstract.
She also continues to enjoy teaching and will share her skills at the Chelmsford Center for the Arts, 1A North Road, on Wednesday, March 27, at 7 p.m. Sponsored by the Chelmsford Art Society, Passman will demonstrate working with acrylic paints in her talk "Loosening Up with Acrylics."
Passman has shown her work throughout Greater Boston and across New England. She teaches at the Arlington Center for the Arts, the Monroe Center for the Arts, Art Span Program and in summer workshops in Maine.
Her demonstration is free and open to all.
