TOWNSEND -- The Townsend Historical Society documentary, "It All Means Townsend," will be airing weekends, Saturday and Sunday on the Townsend Community Television, Comcast/CTV-8.
Viewers will hear the stories of three Townsend men: Donald Keefe, Wallace King and Robert Tumber, who share their knowledge and memories of the town during the 1930s through today. They experienced the Great Depression, witnessed the flood and hurricane of 1936 and 1938, served their country in World War II and enjoyed the rural peace, celebrations, and the fabric of life in the small town that was home. All three men were interviewed on camera, and the film includes historic photographs from the society's collection.
"It All Means Townsend" was written by Anne O'Connor, produced by Anne O'Connor and the Townsend Historical Society, funded by the Amanda Dwight Entertainment Fund and supported, in part, by a grant from the Townsend Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
