TOWNSEND -- Holiday decorations in several shapes and sizes are on offer during the annual silent auction now in progress in the corridor at Townsend Meeting Hall, located in the Library/Senior Center on Dudley Road.

Sponsored by the Townsend Meeting Hall Gallery Committee, the sale is held to help cover Meeting Hall expenses.

Wreaths provided personally, or by the committee, have been decorated by individuals, town groups and businesses. Entries of a less traditional design have been created by members of the committee.

Bids, which start at $15 with $5 increments, can be entered on a card attached to each piece. Bidding will end on Friday, Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. when the winners can collect their holiday decorations.

"We really appreciate all the time and work that went into these decorations," Gallery Committee member Nancy French said. She and Committee Member Tracy Taylor are coordinating the event.
