Pre-Town Meeting: 7 p.m., Memorial Hall. A Pre-Town Meeting will be held to discuss the items on the upcoming Special Town Meeting. This informal session will be an opportunity for Town officials to present warrant articles and for residents to ask questions.

Halloween Boo: 10:30-11:30 a.m., Library Storytime Room. Join Miss Molly and her group of volunteers for a free fun Halloween event! Wear your costume and join us at the library for a costume parade that features a visit to the senior center and trick-or-treating (candy-free)! There will be crafts and lots of fun! All ages, no registration required.

The Water Department will be performing Hydrant and Main flushing over the next two to three weeks. Customers may briefly experience a slight discoloration and/or reduction in pressure of their water supply. If these conditions last more than several hours please call the Water Department at 978-597-2212.
Special Town Meeting rescheduled
The Special Town Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 30, has been postponed. It will take place in the second half of November or early December after the next override election.
The Board of Selectmen and town administrator will host a public forum in advance of this autumn's Special Town Meeting.

Townsend Congregational Church invites you to enjoy a Turkey Dinner with all the fixings on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 5-6:30 p.m. Tickets, available at the door, are $ 10 for adults and $4 for children ages 3 through 8. As always, children under 3 eat free! Dinners are also available for take-out.
Townsend Congregational Church, which faces the Townsend Common in Townsend Center, is an open and affirming member of the United Church of Christ. Everyone is welcome to attend our worship and community events.

Friends of Townsend Seniors Bake Sale Election Day
The Friends of the Townsend Seniors is holding a Bake Sale on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, at North Middlesex Regional High School. All three Townsend precincts will vote at the high school, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and voters will have an opportunity to buy homemade cookies, brownies, cakes and pie before or after casting their ballot!
Donna Miller, chairman of the bake sale, invites residents to bake for the sale and to bring items with them to the polls by mid-morning or baked goods may be dropped off on Monday, Nov. 5, at the Senior Center.
Miller emphasizes the importance of this election and also asks residents to support the Friends' fundraising efforts.

Household hazardous waste collection
Harvard residents may bring hazardous materials for disposal to the Devens Regional Household Hazardous Products Collection Center at 9 Cook St. (rear) on the first Wednesday and following Saturday of each month (Nov. 7 and 10), from 9 a.m. to noon, except for holidays and weather-permitting.
The cost for residents is $20 for up to five gallons or five pounds of material.
Businesses must pre-register.
