Forks over knives
On Sept. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m., there will be a DVD and discussion regarding a new eating lifestyle. This new plan has been known to reverse diabetes, heart disease and obesity as well as improve our quality of life.

Brush fees
The Recycling Center is now charging $1, 2 and $3 for loads of residential debris. Grass clipping and leaves remain free of charge. Please make sure if dumping to follow to the appropriate marked area. Thank you for your cooperation.

Applications are still being accepted for Townsend Historical Society's 31st Annual Arts and Crafts Fair to be held Sept. 15 and 16 on the Townsend Common. This is a great opportunity to showcase your talents and display your work for visitors to admire and purchase.
There will be music, including Jeff Jam for children and an old fashioned band concert, artist demonstrations, and tempting food for sale, from the grill and from talented local home
