PEPPERELL -- The Townsend Ecumenical Outreach will host the lawn party at the Townsend Military Band's Thursday evening, July 19, concert on the Townsend Common. Supporters of the TEO will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages and pulled pork sandwiches. Fried dough, snow cones, beverages and a varitety of homebaked goods will also be available.

At 7:30 p.m., the Towensend Military band will open its concert with Strauss' "2001 Theme" fanfare. Holst's "First Suite in E flat," "Emblem of Unity" by Richards and "Variations on a Korean Folk Song" by Chance will follow. Other selections from composers Pachelbel, Sousa, Grainger, Hanssen, Lerner, Hagen and more will be presented too.

At 9:30 p.m, the concert will conclude with the playing of "God Bless America" and "the Star Spangled Banner."

Children attending the concert can visit the bouncy house and test their skills at various games such as ring toss and sand bag throw.
