Bromfield junior ace Andre Weber tossed a complete game six-hitter. Weber allowed three earned runs to pick up the win. Leadoff man Sam Rosenfield set the table for the Bromfield offense going two-for-three with two stolen bases and a run scored. Ben Veno continues to swing the hot bat for Bromfield going two-for-three, two runs scored and a stolen base. Caleb Green went two-for-three with a run scored. Tommy Jackovitz paced the offense with a three-for-four performance at the dish, including 2 RBI. It was an all-around solid defensive effort for the Trojans, who have now won two games in a row.

Algonquin 2

Groton-Dunstable played exceptionally well to avenge its early season loss to Algonquin. The Crusaders picked up victories in three-of-their-five matches in dramatic fashion. Sarah MacDonald and Maggie Wertheimer, of G-D, fell in No. 1 and No. 2 singles play. In No. 3 singles Ariel Roth continued her dominant play against Algonquin's Emily Wu defeating her in straight sets, (6-4,6-0.) The No.2 doubles tandem of Samantha Comeau and Katrina Kanwijawa def. Algonquin's Jen Black and Carly Fagan, (1-6, 6-4, 6-4.)

Groton-Dunstable is off until it returns to play on April 28 against Nashoba Regional. Earlier in the season, the two teams played until rain halted the match.

Groton-Dunstable fell to Algonquin Regional to drop to 1-4 on the season. Ian Kim, of Algonquin, def. Kyle Fisher (6-4,6-0) James Hoain def. Eric Yanchenko 2-6, 6-0 and 7-6 in a tie-breaking third set. Mark Roper fell to Nick Bowker 3-6, 6-1, 4-6. The G-D No. 1 doubles team of Moose Chaudry and Connor Johnson fell in straight sets. The No. 2 doubles team of Eric Niemoller and Jake Hertog also dropped its match in straight sets.
