Groton-Dunstable leaped out to a 17-2 run on Mid-Wach B front-runner, Westborough(8-7,9-0 Mid-Wach B). The Rangers came into Friday night's game in Groton undefeated, and they left that way. Sophomore Corey Romich scored a game-high 23 points for the Crusaders. Junior point guard Matt Tornaritis recorded seven assists in the loss. Junior guard Drew Moore and senior captain Scott Csaplar each pitched in with 10 points in the loss. Groton-Dunstable slips to 6-9 overall and 5-4 in Mid-Wach B play.

North Middlesex 57

Drew Patno scored a game-high 18 points for the North Middlesex Patriots (2-8 Mid-Wach A, 6-9) on the road at Shrewsbury. Senior captain Tyler Thomas added 12 in the Patriots' second win in the Mid-Wach A League.

Ayer Shirley(6-6,4-4 Mid-Wach D) downed Bromfield(2-12,2-6) at home behind a 17-4 third-quarter, which did the Trojans in. Panthers' senior forward Ryan Richard led his team with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Bromfield was led by its sophomore point guard Jake Frackiewicz, who netted a game-high 24 points in the loss.

Junior captain Lindsay Werner led the Lady Crusaders(7-7,5-3 Mid-Wach B) with 17 points. Westboro (7-6,5-2 Mid-Wach B) senior Tori Flahive put up a career-high 28 points in the third quarter to put Groton-Dunstable away for good.
