Infant Storytime -- Mother Goose on the Loose (no sign-up), Ages 0 - 2 and up: Mondays and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy program that uses rhymes and songs to help pre-reading children get ready for reading. It incorporates music, movement, ritual, repetition, positive reinforcement, developmental tips, nursery rhymes, illustrations, puppets, musical instruments, colored scarves, and book reading into a fun-filled 45-minute session for infants to 2-year-olds and caregivers (older siblings also welcome). Ask to be put on the email list for last minute schedule changes.
Art and Stories for 4's and 5's -- pre-registration required), ages 4 and 5+: Tuesdays at 2 p.m.
This 30- to 45-minute program, appropriate for children ages 4 to 7, begins with a few longer picturebook stories, then ends with a process art project that encourages preschoolers to explore art materials in an open-ended, creative manner. Registration for the next five-week session begins on Dec. 9; that five-week session begins on Jan. 6 and runs through Feb. 10 (no storytime on Jan. 20 due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday). Pre-registration required: Limit of 12 children.
Family Movie Night!
Movie is Rated PG - All Ages: Friday, Jan. 3 at 6:30 p.m.
We can't tell you the title of the movie here, but here is a one word clue about this recent animated film: minions! Popcorn and water will be served.
Game Hour and Chess Club
Grades 3 to 6: Thursdays from 4-5 p.m.
This drop-in, after school program for children in grades 3 to 6 is facilitated by teen volunteers. Play an assortment of great games, including Set, Scrabble, Mille Bornes, Apples to Apples, Slamwich, Quiddler, Hoopla, and, of course, Chess!

Join this once-monthly book group for a lively book discussion and a yummy snack of bagels and cream cheese. Book group members should read all of the book prior to the group meeting.
