REGIONAL -- Come play ball! Registration for the spring season of the Miracle League of Massachusetts is now open. The Miracle League is a noncompetitive baseball program for those between the ages of 5 and 22 who are unable to participate in a mainstream league due to physical, cognitive, emotional or behavioral challenges.
Our athletes have a wide range of abilities, from some just needing a little help paying attention to the game to those needing physical help with all aspects of the game. Games are played on Saturdays from April 27 through June 8 at the all-accessible Joseph Lalli Miracle Field at NARA Park in Acton.
Each player is assigned a volunteer "buddy," typically a mainstream peer, to help with the game as needed. Due to the generosity of private and corporate donors, there is no cost to players. The registration deadline for athletes is March 22.
In addition to athletes, we are seeking volunteers ages 12 and older to assist our athletes with the game. We are looking for enthusiastic people who want to help others. No baseball skills are necessary. For information on registering as an athlete or volunteer, visit www.miracleleagueofma.com or contact Lauren at firstname.lastname@example.org or 978 263 3043.
