Boys soccer

Bromfield 2, Tyngsboro 0

Tom Hill, in his 36th season as the Bromfield boys' soccer coach, reached his 550th career win. Freshman James Kellogg put the Trojans (4-2-1, 3-1 Wachusett A) ahead in the 14th minute, taking a pass from Ezra Kraus and sending a low shot past the keeper as he came out to challenge. Matt Olejarz made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute, while goalie Ryan Kennedy made five saves. Tyngsboro fell to 2-5-2, 2-3.

Bromfield 4, Tahanto 0

Dylan Osgood, Mark Ferguson, Ben L'Ecuyer, and Ross Brown-Cullinane had goals for the Trojans (5-2-1).

Groton-Dunstable 5, Quabbin 1

Senior captain Nate Pomeroy played a part in all five goals with a hat trick and two assists to lead the visiting Crusaders (4-2-1) past the Panthers (2-6-1). Senior Alex Murphy and sophomore Matt Tornaritis scored the other goals for Groton-Dunstable, which led, 5-0, at halftime. Junior Lee Krowther scored on a penalty kick for Quabbin's only goal.

Girls soccer

Bromfield 1, Littleton 1

Kate Magurn's goal in the 27th minute tied it for the host Tigers (3-4-3). Rylee Osgood scored for the Trojans (5-1-2) at 13:06.

Boys cross country

Groton-Dunstable 16, Quabbin 46

Senior Chris Sain (17:58) led the visiting Crusaders (3-1) as they took the top four spots on Quabbin's 2.9-mile course. Andrei Safanchik (18:06), John Alberts (18:10) and Dave Evans (18:11) finished next, followed by Reese Kennington (18:12) for the Panthers (1-3).

Bromfield 23, Tyngsboro 36; Bromfield 24, Murdock 31

Bromfield sophomore Price Day (17:38) finished first in a 3.1-mile tri-meet hosted by Murdock (6-1) as the Trojans (7-0) claimed wins over both the Blue Devils and Tyngsboro (5-2). Nick Steele (18:02) took fifth place for Bromfield. Tyngsboro's Aaron Thompson (17:58) and Cody Robinson (17:59) came in second and fourth, while Murdock's Kyle Blouin (17:59) placed third.

Girls cross country

Bromfield 27, Murdock 31

Tyngsboro sophomore Kerri Keohane (20:03) won a 3.1-mile race hosted by Murdock as the Tigers (7-0) defeated the Blue Devils (3-2) and Bromfield (5-2) in a tri-meet, while Bromfield also topped Murdock. Jaylan Fraser-Mines (20:15) finished second and Lexi Casey (21:18) fourth for Tyngsboro. Felicia Ingman (20:58) claimed third place for Murdock, while Bromfield's Alexia Lipman (21:24) came in fifth.

Field hockey

Groton-Dunstable 1, Algonquin 1

Livy Penney scored off a pass from Emily Riposa late in the first half to tie it for the host Crusaders (3-3-2). Taylor O'Connell put the Tomahawks (3-3-1) ahead midway through the first half after a feed from Maggie Wraight.

Golf

North Middlesex 191, Tyngsboro 220

Junior Jimmy Walmsley shot a 4-under 31 at Tyngsboro CC, finishing with five birdies and a bogey as the visiting Patriots (10-2) qualified for the Central Mass. Tournament.

North Middlesex 201, Algonquin 204

North Middlesex junior Jimmy Walmsley finished 3-over at par-35 Juniper Hill to help the visiting Patriots (11-3) slip past the Tomahawks (7-2). Algonquin sophomore Matt O'Donnell also had a 38.

Bromfield 43, Ayer-Shirley 11

Junior Jack Quinn shot 5-over 41 at Red Tail GC in Devens to help the host Trojans (7-1-1, 5-0-1 Midland B) beat the Panthers (1-5, 1-5).

North Middlesex 213, Groton-Dunstable 223

Sophomore A.J. Koble carded a 1-over 36 at Townsend Ridge to pace the host Patriots (12-3) past the Crusaders (9-5).

Volleyball

Ayer-Shirley 3, Leominster 0

Anna Peck was solid all around and Celiena DeBalsi was a force on the court as the Lady Panthers improved to 5-1 on the season.

Groton-Dunstable 3, Clinton 0

Shannon Stong had four kills and five aces and Leanne Mueller added 15 service points as the visiting Crusaders (7-3, 5-2) swept, 25-13, 25-9, 25-12. Monique Daniels (4 kills) and Jaileen Ortiz (8 assists) led the Gaels (1-6, 0-5).
