Junior QB Mack Eberhardt was a dynamic force, totaling four TDs -- two rushing, two passing - as he led the Crusaders (2-0) past the host Blue Devils (0-2). Eberhardt carried 11 times for 126 yards, including a pair of 25-yard TD runs, and completed 7 of 15 passes for 106 yards. Classmate Quinton Forbes scored three TDs, totaling 23 yards on the ground to go with four receptions for 72 yards. Forbes caught TD strikes of 23 and 41 yards and ran in a three-yard score after Drew Moore returned an INT 40 yards into Murdock territory.

In a game shortened to just a half due to injury, the Bromfield field hockey team netted their first win of the season. Gabby Doben scored just a minute into the game and added a second goal later in the half. Heather Grant added a goal of her own as the Lady Trojans dominated throughout, improving to 1-2-1 on the year.

The Lady Panthers volleyball team moved to 2-0 on the season with a 25-17, 25-15, 25-14 victory over Fitchburg. Clara Watson led the way for Ayer-Shirley with seven aces and seven kills. Shanna DeBalsi was solid with three aces, six kills and an ace while Emma Sheils was strong in the setting game.

Senior Charlotte Spiegel scored from the edge of the box in the 14th minute off an indirect kick touched by Kim Morgan and the Patriots (2-2) held on to beat the Hawks (0-3). North Middlesex's Julia Murray made five saves, while Kara Knights turned away 13 shots for Hudson.

Bromfield 6 Tahanto 1

Dylan Osgood had two goals and Ezra Krause scored once and had an assist as the visiting Trojans (2-0, 1-0 Wachusett A) got goals from five players. Arie vanden Bosch scored for the Stags (0-3, 0-1) in the 35th minute to cut it to 3-1 at intermission.

Conor Begun scored three goals and Tyler Gaetz added a pair to power the host Panthers (2-0). Ryan Coulter made one save for the shutout. Ryan Goodman and Arun Lalotra also scored.
