Presentation postponed

Due to the inclement weather, the presentation by Next Step Living on saving energy in your home was rescheduled from Dec. 9 to Monday Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. at the Shirley Senior Center. All seniors in the area who would like to know more about making your home more energy efficient and saving money on both repairs and fuel bills are welcome to attend.

Mass Save can help by doing a free energy assessment of your home, providing low cost items like light bulbs and shower heads to lower your energy usage. They also can arrange 0 percent interest loans to help with some of the improvements and up to 75 percent off on qualified insulation projects. This is a win-win for seniors with high fuel bills.

See you all Monday at 10 a.m. at the Shirley Senior Center.

Yuletide celebration Dec. 21

Ayer Public Library, in partnership with ArtsNashoba, will be hosting a community Yuletide Celebration Dec. 21, from 1-4 p.m. at Ayer Town Hall.

There will be face-painting, crafters, singing and art stations... gift-selling, ornament personalization, cookies, and more! If we're lucky, maybe a jolly old elf in a red suit might even stop by!

This event is a fundraiser for Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry of Devens, so donations of food and funds will be accepted at this event. There is NO FEE to participate, but if you charge for anything, we ask only that a percentage is given back to the cause.

Come share in the wealth of the season and the community!
