Annual towns-wide cleanup April 20

AYER/SHIRLEY -- The towns of Ayer and Shirley will hold their town-wide cleanup on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

"It's no coincidence that we hold the cleanup as close to Earth Day as possible, which falls this year on Monday, April 22," said Laurie Sabol, chair of the Ayer Recycling Committee.

"The annual cleanup is a great way to show civic pride and get out in the fresh air at the same time," points out Dawn McCall, chair of the Shirley Recycling Committee.

Volunteer for whatever time you can afford on the 20th, or ahead of time, by contacting the coordinator in your town.
