We have a new program. If you have ever thought about Rag Rug Crocheting, we now have a class for you . Taught by well know Rug Crocheter Leone Noddin, the class meets for eight weeks beginning on Monday Feb. 4, from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Please bring you own needles, material, etc. Call the Senior Center or look for the article in the senior newsletter to see all the details. Also on Thursday, Feb. 7 there will be a free eye screening clinic in addition to the normal blood pressure clinic.
For those who made "Getting in shape" a goal for the new year, we have senior fitness. A class designed for seniors that includes weight training and Pilates and is geared towards each individual's needs. The classes will be held on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. or Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m.
Also at the center, a test of your mind. Wii Jeopardy is a chance to have some fun, exercise your mind and experience some painless competition. Wii Jeopardy will be held on Wednesdays from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sign-up now.
We have a Senior Information Session on Monday, Feb. 11. This month the session will be held at the Hazen Library. Deb Roy, town librarian, will show the seniors how to use "The power of the Internet."
The Pizza and Movie for February will be on Feb. 6. The Movie is "We Bought a Zoo," a 2011 comedy-drama/family film based on the 2008 memoir of the same name by Benjamin Mee. The film is directed by Cameron Crowe, and stars Matt Damon as the lead character.
