The Shirley COA has an urgent need for a Meals-on-Wheels driver for Wednesdays. The job requires a license and a car and the physical ability to get in and out of the car frequently. The driver will work about two hours from about 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. depending on when the delivery truck arrives at the Senior Center and how many clients are delivered to that day. You will receive a minimal mileage reimbursement and no pay. This is not a role that will make you rich financially, but it will in spirit.
This is an opportunity to help shut-in seniors to have a nourishing meal at least once a day. While the work is not hard, but the satisfaction is high. If you can spare the time and want to make a difference, contact the senior center at 978-425-1390 and volunteer.
