SHIRLEY -- The Shirley Friendship Fund is asking for your help. Tim Hopf, of Shirley, recently underwent double bypass surgery and an aortic valve replacement, just five months after losing his wife, Rhonda, and nine months after losing his son, Adam. He is the father of two teenaged children, Lyle and Dana Hopf.
To help offset medical expenses for the Hopf family, the Friendship Fund, a nonprofit organization, will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Saturday, July 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Parish Hall, 33 Chapel St., Shirley.
Admission will be $3 per senior or child under age 10; $6 per other individual. Spaghetti with homemade meatballs, bread, salad, a drink, and dessert will be provided. If you wish to purchase advance tickets, volunteer to help with the dinner, or provide one of many raffle baskets that will be available for a chance to win at the dinner, contact Heidi Conley, 978-425-9681 or Linda Brackett, 978-425-9560.
You can have a great home cooked meal and help the Hopf family at the same time!
