SHIRLEY -- Plans are well underway for the annual Trinity Chapel Strawberry Festival to be held at 186 Center Road on Saturday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 pm. Rain date is Sunday, June 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Strawberry shortcake will be featured, along with hot dogs, hamburgers and baked goods.

There will be live music and games for the kids.

One popular feature is the silent auction, which will include specialty foods, gift certificates to restaurants and stores, tickets to music events and series, personal services such as baby-sitting or garden planning, as well as fancy gift baskets.

Another favorite is the plant table, with annuals and perennials of all kinds and sizes.
