Why do you come to the library? I love everything about my library. I love that everyone is so nice. It is so much fun volunteering there. I love that you can get as many books as you want, and all the fun activities they set up.

What do you geek? I geek math.

Jenny geeks math, and the Lawrence Library does, too! We have lots of awesome books about math for all ages, many of which demonstrate math concepts in unusual ways. For example, "The Manga Guide to Statistics" by Shin Takahaski explains difficult concepts using cartoons. We have histories of math through the ages, and even novels that have math as part of their stories, such as "The Indian Clerk" by David Leavitt, and "Math Girls" by Hiroski Yuki. There are also books that focus on mathematical concepts, such as "Visions of Infinity" by Ian Stewart, which focuses on great mathematical problems, both the solved and the unsolved, and what those solutions could mean for science as a whole.

The library also has museum passes that you can borrow, including passes for discounted admission to the Museum of Science in Boston, where you can explore the beauty of math in daily life at the Mathematica exhibit.

The library can help everyone explore the things they geek. For information, or if you are interested in being the Geek of the Week, stop by the Lawrence Library.
