At Lawrence Library...

* LIVE @ Lawrence Library presents Open Mic, Friday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m.

Join DJ Tyler on the second Friday of every month. Musicians, singers, poets -- share your talent! All ages/all instruments welcome. Come play, sing or just listen! All LIVE@Lawrence Library programs are free and open to the public with light refreshments sponsored the Friends of the Library, and coffee provided by Starbucks Coffee, Nashua, NH.

* Book Club, Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m.

This month we are reading two short stories:

"Christmas Day in the Morning" by Pearl S. Buck and "At Christmas Time" by Anton Chekhov.

Please bring a treat or beverage to share at our annual Holiday Meeting! We've been meeting since 1998 and always have a talkative and fun group. Join us!

* Gift Wrap Party, Saturday, Dec. 21, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The gifts have been bought, but wrapping is a chore? Join us and wrap your presents while listening to festive music, eating cookies and having a holly jolly good time! We've got wrapping paper to share.

* Movie Night, Saturday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m.

We will be watching the classic Christmas movie starring Chevy Chase as Clark W. Griswold! How many blinking lights can one house fit? How fast can your sled go if you grease it up just right? Things may not be perfect, but at least Clark will get his much-deserved Christmas Bonus from work ... right? Rated PG-13. No registration.

* Bridge Club seeks new members

A group of card players has been meeting at the library to play bridge and socialize for many years. Now they are looking for new members, all levels welcome, to join them at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays. For more information, call Molly at 433-0433.

* Italian Conversation Group, Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m.

Parla Italiano? Open to anyone who would like to meet and converse in Italian. From beginners to more fluent speakers; everyone is invited.

Lawrence Library ... for the younger set

* Merry Marshmallows, Thursday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m.

Marshmallow cocoa stirrers and snowmen are fun to make! We have all the supplies you need to create last-minute gifts. No registration; this is a drop-in program for all ages.

* YA Book Club, Friday, Dec. 20, at 4 p.m.

Join us to talk about some awesome books, eat snacks, and hang out. This month, we'll be discussing BZRK by Michael Grant. No registration. This club is for teens.

* Movie Day -- "Despicable Me 2," Saturday, Dec. 14, at 1 p.m.

Come for the minions... stay for the popcorn! Rated PG.

* Mad Science, Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 6:30 p.m.

Science is cool, fun, and sometimes explosive - come find out what we're doing this month! For kids in grades 3 through 8.

* Pajama Story Time, Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 6:30 p.m.

Put on your pajamas and join Miss Shannon for our monthly Pajama Story Time! We will have songs, stories, and a little bit of fun before bedtime.

* Lego Club, Thursday, Dec. 19, at 5 p.m.

Build a castle, see how tall you can stack a tower, or create whatever your imagination can dream up! Lego club will be held on the third Tuesday of every month and is open to all ages. This is a drop-in program - we're just here to have fun!

* Story Times ~ no registration, just come on in!

Holiday Storytime, Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., Dec. 11 and 18; stories, music and crafts with Miss Shannon, for ages 18 months and up.

Holiday Babytime, Fridays at 10:30 a.m., Dec. 6, 13 and 20; Come and join Miss Kat for stories, music and playtime.
