Police auction Oct. 5
The Pepperell Police Department is holding its first public auction to rid the department's storage unit of recovered objects including several snowboards and nearly 20 bicycles at the Public Safety Complex at 59 Main St. Preview begins at 8 a.m. and bidding will start at 9 a.m.
Greyhound Friends at Lawrence Library Oct. 5
October is Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog Month! Are you thinking about getting a dog? Learn all about adopting from Greyhound Friends, Inc., and meet some of their wonderful dogs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lawrence Library.
Greyhound Friends, Inc. is a nonprofit organization located in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, that is dedicated to saving racetrack greyhounds and placing them in responsible, loving homes. They also help greyhound crosses, hounds, and beagles rescued from kill shelters or other high-risk situations.

Railroad club show, open house Oct. 6
Pepperell Siding Model Railroad Club's Annual Show and Open House will be held Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission: Adults, $5; Seniors and Handicapped, $4; Children (6-12), $2; Children (under 6), free. Family maximum (2 adults and children) $12.
There will be working displays in N, HO, O, and G Scales from several area model railroad clubs along with vendors and food.

Roast pork dinner Oct. 12
Pepperell United Methodist Church is hosting a Roast Pork dinner Saturday, Oct. 12, 4:30-6 p.m. with roast pork, mashed potato, squash, stuffing, green beans, gravy and a variety of freshly baked deserts. Eat-in or take-out. Please come join us for the wonderful meal.
The cost is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and $4 for children.
You are automatically entered for the door prize with the purchase of your supper ticket. Drawing will be held that night.

Spaghetti supper at KofC Oct. 19
The Knights of Columbus will sponsor a spaghetti sipper at St. Joseph Church, 28 Tarbell St., Pepperell, on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 5 p.m.
