TOWNSEND -- Squannacook Early Childhood Center, located at 66 Brookline St. in Townsend, will be hosting an information night on Thursday, Feb. 7, (snow date of Feb. 12) from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. for all interested parents of preschool age children, ages 3-5 years old.

SECC is the district-wide preschool program and has a wide variety of programs to suit many needs.

What makes SECC unique? It follows the Massachusetts state frameworks, works with faculty and staff in the upper grades to ensure smooth transitions for all students going into kindergarten.

The classrooms are large with many learning centers and areas for dramatic play, and each room has their own bathroom. The staff is dedicated to providing a safe, stimulating learning environment as well as a registered nurse.

SECC offers its students many opportunities for enrichment programs such as apple picking, presentations by local community members such as the Townsend Fire Department, Townsend Police Department, field trips to the beautiful Townsend Library and the PTO helps bring quality programs into the school.

A presentation will be given about the various options that will be offered, what a typical day looks like and questions will be answered. Child care will be available if you would like to bring your child.
