TOWNSEND -- The Townsend Rod and Gun Club is holding a winter Ice Fishing Derby on Sunday, Jan. 20. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the derby will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be held at the club pond, off Emery Road on Dann Colburn Way, just off Route 13. Watch for direction signs along the way.
Entry fee is $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12. The pond will be stocked with hungry rainbow and brown trout. The fishing derby is open to all area adults and children and promises to be a fun-filled day. Bring your own fishing bait.
