Special Town Meeting Oct. 29

The Board of Selectmen announces the date for the Special Town Meeting: Monday, Oct. 29 (and Tuesday, Oct. 30, if needed), at 7:30 p.m., in Nissitissit Middle School.

Apple festival and concert

The Annual Hollis Apple Festival and Band Concert will be held this year on Sunday, Oct. 7, from 2-4 p.m. on the Hollis Town Common, Depot Road. Purchase homemade apple pies and crisps, all topped with Doc Davis ice cream, and enjoy a free band concert by the Hollis Town Band, playing all your favorites.

Buy a raffle ticket for a chance to conduct the band to the Stars and Stripes Forever! Browse among the artisans, get a treat at the Sweet Shoppe, or have your face painted. Free activities for the kids as well!

Mystery dinner theater night

Ashby Elementary School Council will host a Dinner and Show, "Deadly Chateau Shenanigans," upstairs in the Ashby American Legion Hall at 5 p.m. Meet the actors and then, at 5:30, start dinner. Holiday bus trip to NYC

The Hollis Woman's Club announces their annual Holiday bus trip to New York City and everyone is invited!

We leave the Tyngsboro Park and Ride (off exit 36) at 6 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1. We arrive in NYC at approximately 10:30 a.m. and your itinerary is your own, but there is plenty of time to shop, sightsee, or catch a matinee!

We meet on Madison Avenue at 7 p.m. for the return trip back; $65 per seat pays for the round trip luxury bus, map/guidebook and driver gratuity. All ages are invited to come along. 

This trip sells out every year, so don't delay.
