The woman has been identified as a Pepperell resident.
Leslie Spoth, 40, of 169 Townsend St., died after being trapped underneath a hay wagon.
Rescue crews extricated her from underneath the wagon and transported her to Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The incident occurred about 4 p.m. Friday, when a hay trailer overturned in a field at the Wheeler Road farm and pinned the woman underneath.
