PEPPERELL -- Another packing party is scheduled for the August Veteran's Breakfast.

The Pepperell Army Community Covenant is looking for names of active duty soldiers for their next packing party. In partnership with the Pepperell Senior Center and state Rep. Sheila Harrington's Operation Patriot Pride, the Covenant will be hosting the event following the Veteran's Breakfast on Friday, Aug. 3.

More than 100 packages of items were sent overseas to active duty servicemen at the previous events, but the Covenant is always looking to expand their roster of names to send to.

"We really need those, the more names the better chance of reaching out to as many soldiers as possible," said Covenant Committee Chairman Stephen Themelis.

Names of active-duty soldiers from Pepperell and the surrounding towns can be sent to Themelis by e-mail at jthemelis@charter.net, by phone at 978-852-8520 or by fax at 978-433-5666.

"The guys enjoy receiving the packages, but they end up sharing what they get with their units," Themelis said.

Operation Patriot Pride will be paying for the care packages and the drop-off opens on Monday, July 23, at the Senior Center.
