PEPPERELL -- About half of all vets are unemployed, according to Career Counselor Susan Henry of Henry-Adams Associates.
She spoke about her work at the Pepperell Senior Center at the beginning of this month for the Veteran's Breakfast and is coming to the Lawrence Library for a Jobs for Vets program on June 27.
Henry has experience coaching with students and adults along career paths. The event next Wednesday will focus on military veterans returned from active duty and struggling to create a new work life.
This free program will cover the latest techniques for navigating the web in search of careers, help translate military skills into those an employer will understand and discuss the issues veterans face in the current economic climate.
Attendees are welcome to bring resumes and cover letters for critique.
Jobs for Vets will be held on Wednesday, June 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. The library is located at 15 Main St.
For more information, contact the library at 978-433- or e-mail library director Deb Spratt at dspratt@cwmars.org.
