Strawberry Festival, band concert

Mark your calendars for the Annual Hollis Strawberry Festival and Band Concert to be held Sunday, June 24, from 2-4 p.m. on Monument Square, Main Street, Hollis, NH.

Come and enjoy homemade Strawberry Shortcakes and Sundaes, all topped with homemade whipped cream. Browse among the artisans, kid games, and face painting, while listening to the free Hollis Band Concert playing popular selections.

A raffle will be held for chance to conduct the band to the Stars and Stripes Forever -- always a big honor! Rain location is the Hollis Brookline Middle School.

Brookline, N.H., Fireworks

Brookline Fireworks will be held over Lake Potanipo on Wednesday, July 4, around 9:15. The Max Cohen Grove will be open (after 7 for public) for your viewing, Donations will be accepted and appreciated upon entrance to the Grove.

Independence Day parade and celebration -- Saturday, July 7

Pepperell will celebrated Independence Day on the first Saturday in July, this year, July 7, with its annual best-in-the-region parade beginning at 12:30 p.m. from Town Hall, 1 Main St., through Railroad Square and onto Tarbell Street to the VFW.

The parade will be followed by a Hometown Independence Day celebration on the field at Varnum Brook Middle School featuring a variety of vendors, both food service and merchandise. Fireworks are planned for the evening, pending fundraising efforts by the 4th of July Committee.

Summertime swim Lessons at Lake Potanipo in Brookline, NH

(You do not have to live in Brookline to participate.)

Child must be at least 6 years old

Two sessions available, three weeks each.

Four days a week, Monday through Thursday, 35-minute classes.

Session 1: Monday July 9 July 26.

Session 2: Monday July 30-August 16.

$50 per child per session ... at child number 4, you get half price.

All classes are held between 8 a.m.-11 a.m.

Level class time vary due to the level of your child. Level is determined by age and ability

Monthly Veterans Breakfast at the Senior Center

The Pepperell Army Community Covenant hosts a monthly veteran's breakfast at the Pepperell Senior Center on the first Friday of every month. Veterans, active military, and the general public are welcome to attend these free breakfasts.
