The North Middlesex entry in the Montachusetts Senior Babe Ruth league raised its record to 2 - 0 by defeating Lunenburg 8-5.

Lunenburg played extremely well and jumped out to a 4-0 lead. But a seven run uprising in the 5th inning spurred the local boys on to victory. Joe Tierney's bomb double in the 6th inning awed the crowd.

Paul Walter had two hits. Mike Skelly, Mike Powell, Kevin Powell, Johnny Lamont, Mark Canning, Matt Noel, Chris Canning, Kyle McDermott and Kevin Quin all helped the team to victory. The team will play a 12 game regular season over the next month. Other teams in the league are: Leominster, Barre, Lunenburg, Naragansett, AyerShirleyHarvard and St. Bernards.
