Nashoba Associated Boards of Health/Nashoba Nursing Service & Hospice celebrates National Public Health Week April 1-7.

The agency responds to and helps prepare member communities for natural disasters and emergencies by examining community vulnerabilities and educating on preparation to shelter in place.

The agency also has a Medicare certified home health and hospice program to assist residents in disease management, rehabilitation and end of life care. It also ensures that new moms and dads have the resources and knowledge to have healthy babies, and infants are transitioned home safely.

Volunteer community health workers help residents with education programs on chronic disease management to reduce health care costs, prevention of falls with the matter of balance and healthy eating to stay well. The volunteers spread the word at social clubs, assisted living facilities and councils on aging /senior centers.
