My name is Jennifer C. Hardy and I am running for Town Clerk in Pepperell. I am asking for your vote at the town election on April 28.

If elected, I will bring a great deal of administrative, organizational and technical experience to the position. I have managed an office of 20-plus employees as a director of programs. My position required me to oversee our business development representatives, the progress of marketing campaigns and maintain our prospect lists and leads. I implemented, managed and trained employees to effectively utilize many database management software programs throughout my career. I coordinated weekly status meetings with Fortune 500 companies and was responsible for recording the minutes of these meetings and distributing them to the respective parties.

I am very proud of my commitment to this community through my many volunteer positions. I created the VBES Playground Committee and as the chairperson, worked successfully with the NMRSD administration, many local businesses and the school community to raise over $23,000, which was used to purchase new playground equipment for the school. I also coordinated the Community Build Project in which community volunteers worked together to construct the entire playground.

My other volunteer roles included PTA executive board, Peter Fitzpatrick Elementary School fundraising coordinator, Pepperell Soccer Board member, NMRHS Principal and Superintendent Search Committee, Peter Fitzpatrick School Council and the NMRHS Scholarship Committee.

I was elected to the board of the Pepperell Recreation Commission and appointed treasurer. I was responsible for organizing the bills for the commission and submitting them to the town accountant for payment. I attended monthly meetings to help make decisions regarding the budget, field and community center usage, recreation programs, and any items brought to our attention by the citizens of the town. I also worked with other commission members to select and hire the Pepperell Summer Playground team.

I have lived in Pepperell all of my life, and have thoroughly enjoyed being an active member of this community. Being engaged in this town has allowed me to become well versed in the many different involvements this town has to offer. I've worked at local businesses including Razzaboni's Market, Pepperell Travel and Peter Fitzpatrick Preschool as an assistant teacher. I love working with this community and take pride in its ability to work as a unit. This passion I've developed for the town of Pepperell will be evident if elected. I have five children, three of which are currently attending college; four will be this fall. My husband, children and I have greatly enjoyed being engaged in the town of Pepperell.

My experiences inside and outside of this community have given me the skills necessary to succeed as town clerk. I am organized, thorough, personable, as well as a hard worker and quick learner. If elected I will bring these traits to the Town Hall to continue the great service that the residents deserve and expect. Please vote for Jennifer C. Hardy for town cclerk on April 28!
