All in Harvard certainly have cause to celebrate!
The Cable Committee will soon be getting its new home at the Bromfield School, and there promises to be something for everyone: better communication about town happenings and a chance for our students to get a real-life learning experience.
As the transformation of a humble basement to a state-of-the-art studio becomes reality, so does the enthusiasm. Students, faculty and the community at large are going to have a great resource with exciting possibilities.
Equally remarkable to the outcome has been the effort in getting there. Hours and hours of volunteer labor have made this happen. Wide community support, cooperation and collaboration across boards and committees, among town and school personnel, Monty Tech and citizens young and old have made this dream a reality.
And, amazingly, what could have easily been a project costing greater than $200,000 has fallen well below that number due to the grassroots efforts of our community coming together.
How fortunate are we in Harvard to have this new community resource? What better message for our young people than to witness our community at its best?
