To my students and their families:

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for 35 years of fulfilling teaching experiences. It has been my genuine privilege to have known so many caring parents over the years. You have always been so supportive of your children, our school, and my programs. I have always felt a deep sense of responsibility because you entrusted your sons and daughters to me. Now as my teaching career is in its final days, I also feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for this trust that you placed in me.

It has been especially rewarding to have worked with so many creative, intelligent, and enthusiastic children. The memories that we have created together will remain with me throughout my life.

It is not without some trepidation that I embark upon this new chapter in my life, but I also feel a great sense of anticipation for what other adventures (opportunities?) life has to offer. I am sure that I will meet many of you along the way, and I will always hold each and every one of you -- parents and students -- in my heart.

My sincerest hope is that by trying to make education fun, I have helped to nurture a lifelong love of learning in your children.

ELIZABETH GEROSSIE
