On Oct. 27, the Ayer-Shirley Parent Teacher Organization held its second annual adult fundraiser, "The Awesome 80s Party" at the Bull Run's Sawtelle Room. Parents, school staff/teachers and friends of the PTO all came together for a fun-filled evening of "roving feast stations," much dancing and surprising costumes!

Local DJ Terry Moran from Crown Entertainment brought plenty of great music, a big screen for music videos and a photo booth, which was enjoyed by most everyone. Decorations were donated by Pinard's Florist. Mitrano Removal Service, EmbroidMe of Chelmsford, JS Business Solutions, Brenda Gleason (homemade jewelry) and D'Ambrosio Eye Care all made donations to help make this night a success.

Many many thanks for their support and collaboration go to the Bull Run Restaurant, all the supporters of this event and of the ASPTO, as well as to all those who came and helped make lasting memories while ensuring our children benefit from great programs throughout the school year.

It is never too late to support your local PTO with a cash donation (no meeting attendance required). If you have missed this event, you won't want to miss the third annual event. Rest up, gear up and get ready to go Back to the Future at next year's event on Nov. 9! Theme to be determined.
