On Thursday, Sept. 6, there's a clear choice in the 3rd Congressional District that could change Massachusetts.
We have a Republican primary. After reviewing the facts, the choice is simple. We have Jon Golnik, who has a plan for lowering taxes, creating jobs, reducing the deficit and spending, repealing and replacing "Obamacare" with an affordable design for lowering costs while protecting patient care. And we have his opponent, whose "vision" involves taking a cleaver rather than a scalpel to government, without study, to determine need versus impact.
We have Jon Golnik, who despite another withering personal attack similar to 2010 by the same opponent, has committed to the voters to remain civil and discuss issues. We have his opponent, whose staff created fictitious social media sites purporting them to be from towns within the district and who personally wages a war of words as he is clearly devoid of ideas.
We have Jon Golnik receiving endorsements from all over the new district from groups, veterans, past and current elected officials, to the average citizen; they see in Jon Golnik a work ethic and a desire to make things right, and then we have his opponent.
We have Jon Golnik, who finished first in the four-way primary in 2010 then garnered over 94,000 votes, more than any Republican since 1992.
For these reasons and many more, I'll be voting for Jon Golnik for Congress on Sept. 6 and encourage you to do the same.
