Font ResizeSo far this year the American people have seen an executive order to help the attorney general ignore the congressional Contempt of Congress action, an executive order to give the president dictatorial powers in case of a national emergency and an executive order effectively granting amnesty to illegal aliens who had been brought to this country as children. He continued by declaring that despite a Supreme Court decision recognizing the right of a state to defend its citizens, homeland security would not enforce said law.
We are now living with an extra constitutional government; one legislated by the executive office holder rather than the legislative branch. This government is one of shadows working against the American people. This president refuses to work with the Congress, refuses to lead, and insists that American life proceed according to his vision. He is not a president who wishes to govern, but an individual who seeks to rule.
Our economy continues to falter, employment remains stubbornly low, citizens face the prospect of astronomical taxes, and inflation continues to threaten. Our president seems to bear an increasing resemblance to Shakespeare's Macbeth seizing power, making unilateral decisions, and seeking vengeance on those who protest his actions. He appears genial and has the reputation of using a golden tongue, but as the bard says in Act II scene 3 of Macbeth "there are daggers in men's smiles."
