Last day to register to vote for the Special Town Meeting on Oct. 16, is Friday, Oct. 4. The Town Clerk's Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Fairy House Building/Nature Day

Presented by Harvard Conservation Trust

Saturday Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bring your families and your creativity to The Children's Trail (behind HES) for some building fun. You are welcome to dress in your favorite Fairy/Dragon Fly attire. Feel free to bring your own natural materials to build and remember not to harm anything that is still living. This is event is free and all children participating will receive a prize.

Harvard Woman's Club, Monday, Oct. 7

Begun in 2001 as a nonprofit organization, the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden is dedicated to providing integrated cancer care through both therapeutic services and educational programs. Margaret Koch, director of the Healing Garden, will share with us the ways that the organization provides a healing environment for those with a cancer diagnosis. She will also discuss ways that the Healing Garden promotes community wellness education and cancer prevention.

Luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m., followed by the program at 12:15 p.m. at Holy Family Parish (formerly St. Theresa's), 15 Still River Road, Harvard. All are welcome.

Republicans to meet, Oct. 9

The Harvard Republican Town Committee will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 7:30 p.m. at the Congregational Church on Still River Road.
