HARVARD -- Continuing its long tradition of excellent productions in Harvard and surrounding communities, Superstar Productions is pleased to announce that "Aladdin Jr." will be performed at Hildreth Elementary School in during the first weekend in April.

There are four opportunities to catch the show, with a premier on Friday, April 5, at 7 p.m., two shows on Saturday, April 6, (2 and 7 p.m.) and a final matinee on Sunday, April 7, at 2 p.m. All performances are at the HES cafetorium (at the school's side entrance).

Come see Aladdin work his way out of several tight spots -- sometimes aided by a genie and a magic carpet -- and prevail against evil Jafar to win the heart of Princess Jasmine and her father, the sultan. The show features Bromfield sixth-graders Phoebe Clark as Jasmine and Kira Houston as Jafar, along with HES third-, fourth- and fifth-graders. The show is perfect for families with children age 4 and up.

"Aladdin Jr." is directed by Kate Hoch of Superstar Productions, with music direction provided by Jessica Parson and choreography by Edie Hettinger. Bromfield senior Katie Chambers is the show's producer and also the assistant to the director.
