DEVENS - Mother Nature has forced the postponement of a community briefing originally scheduled to take place tomorrow night, Tuesday, March 19 regarding the planned development of Grant Road on Devens.

Due to Tuesday's snowy forecast, MassDevelopment announced today that is moving it's community meeting one week to Tuesday, March 26. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in Conference Room 1 in the MassDevelopment building at 33 Andrews Parkway, Devens.

The meeting is to discuss an initiative by Mass Development to start the process to develop homes in the Grant Road area of Devens. Ed Starzec, Land Entitlement Director for Mass Development, will present the work performed to to date as the agency prepares to release a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for developers.

If successful, the RFQ may lead to a further Request for Proposals from developers leading to the eventual selection of builder(s) to develop the homes.

MassDevelopment asserts that although the residential development of Grant Road comports with the 1994 Devens Reuse Plan, the agency still seeks feedback on the current and future plans for the development of the land. The meeting is to include an opportunity for questions and answers from the audience.
