GROTON -- February vacation is next week -- what will your children be doing? The Nashua River Watershed Association invites 6- to 9-year-olds to come explore the exciting winter world with NRWA naturalists.

Our "Winter Explorations" program will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 19, and Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the NRWA River Resource Center, 592 Main St.

We'll build snow forts, look for signs of animals, try some outdoor science experiments, and have fun investigating nature's surprises. Environmental scientist Mary Marro will help children learn that there is a lot to see in the winter.

The fee is $45 per day for NRWA members or $55 per day for nonmembers. Registration is required. Sign up for one or two days. To register contact Marro at 978-448-0299 or MaryM@NashuaRiverWatershed.org. The NRWA is a nonprofit environmental organization that depends on memberships for support.
