HARVARD -- The cause of the mishap remains under investigation, but a Providence, R.I., trucker flipped his rig on Monday while maneuvering the off ramp to Route 110/111 in Harvard from Route 2 eastbound. The off ramp remained closed for the morning hours following the 8 a.m. incident.

The tractor-trailer flipped onto its driver's side and came to rest in the grassy strip between the on and off ramps. The Fire Department responded with its hazardous materials truck and crew to absorb spilled fuel from the cab of the 2000 Freightliner truck.

The 53-year old driver was transported by Harvard Ambulance for treatment of possible injuries. Scanner reports stated the man was taken to Leominster Hospital, although Massachusetts State Police indicated the man was transported to Nashoba Valley Medical Center.
