Revenue hearing to Harvard: 5:30 p.m.; state Rep. Jennifer Benson, D-Lunenburg, will host a stop on the Revenue Committee's Listening Tour. Joint Committee on Revenue Chairman Jay Kaufman, D-Lexington, and his staff will take questions and comments from the audience on the future of the Commonwealth's tax system.

The forum will be held in Volunteers' Hall at the Harvard Public Library, 4 Pond Road. Kaufman will take questions and listen to ideas about how the state should generate its revenue.

Harvard Congregational Church Christmas Fair, Lunch with Santa: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fruitlands Museum will the site of the Harvard Congregational Church's annual Christmas Fair. Santa will arrive at 11 a.m.; reservations for lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and their elves will be available for 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Advance purchase of tickets is recommended. Tickets are available at the church.

The fair will feature the popular Festival of Trees and Wreaths and a giant raffle for all the decorated trees.

Visitors are able to purchase chances on the items throughout the day, and winners are announced at the end of the fair. Also, handmade crafts and other traditional items for the discerning shopper.

Fruitlands online auction now open: Bid for unique items online and support Fruitlands Museum.

We invite you to participate in Fruitlands Museum's online auction scheduled just in time for holiday shopping.

The auction runs until Dec. 7. All proceeds go directly to support annual operations and ongoing educational programs at Fruitlands Museum.

Items include original works of art, legacy granite benches, computer equipment, trips, and more.

Included in this auction are five very special items called "Leave a Legacy." These commemorative benches will be placed on museum grounds in the coming years. The benches will be positioned along the museum's 3.5 miles of walking trails, and will serve as your tribute to someone special.

Each bench will be engraved with your personalized message.

This is your opportunity to support Fruitlands and honor a loved one.

Harvard PTO: Scrip gift cards are available for the holidays and we'll be selling inventory and taking orders during school conferences -- HES (Monday 1-4 and Tuesday 1-7) and Bromfield (Monday 1-4 and Tuesday 12-4 and 5-7). We now have VISA gift cards in various denominations ($25, $50, $100).

Coats for Loaves and Fishes: A local girl scout troop is collecting coats for Loaves & Fishes and will have a box out in the lobby of Bromfield. Please consider dropping off a coat for those in need.

New/Used VCR's needed for Science: New/Used/Old (but working) VCRs are needed for Mr. Menin's science class at Bromfield School.

If you can donate one, please drop it off in the front office or in Room 279. This is an opportunity to rid yourself of some obsolete HazMat for free and help out TBS science program.

Lunch with Santa - New Location: Fruitlands will be the site of the Congregational Church of Harvard's annual Christmas Fair on Dec 5 from 10 a.m.to 2 p.m. Santa will arrive at 11 a.m.

Tickets to lunch with the Clauses and their elves may be purchased at the church. Seating times are 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m.

Along with Lunch with Santa, there will be the popular Festival of Trees and Wreaths, an impressive display of Christmas trees and wreaths, decorated in a variety of creative themes.

A raffle will be held at the end of the day for all decorated trees. Winners will be announced at the end of the fair. As a special addition this year, there will be a wine and cheese preview of the festival, Friday, Dec. 4 , from 7-9 p.m.

Mitten Tree: Harvard Girl Scouts continue their tradition of helping others this holiday season with the Mitten Tree. The tree will be in the children's room of the Harvard Public Library from Nov. 30 until Dec. 13.

Everyone is encouraged to stop by and decorate the tree with a new pair of gloves or mittens (adult and child sizes). The mittens will be taken to Loaves and Fishes food pantry for distribution.
