GROTON -- On Saturday, Dec. 7, the Groton Woman's Club will host the eighth annual Greens Sale (snow date Dec. 8).
This year, as in the past, the sale will be held at the historic Williams Barn at 160 Chicopee Row, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (no early birds, please).
To help with your gift list or for your own home, you will find beautifully decorated wreaths, boxwood trees, kissing balls, centerpieces and swags.
Once again, we will have the famous "cookie mile" ready with a large variety of delicious homemade cookies available for purchase prewrapped or individually. They are bound to put a smile on any child's face.
One of the highlights, as always, is our raffle. This year we once again have a gorgeous handmade holiday quilt.
Start early and get your home beautifully decorated for the holiday season, add a few new handmade ornaments to your collection, and, while enjoying the ambiance of a 350-year-old barn, try some mulled cider or hot chocolate.
This is a nonprofit event: Proceeds from this sale go toward scholarships for students at Groton-Dunstable Regional High School, Nashoba Valley Technical High School and Francis W. Parker Charter School. Cash or checks accepted.
