GROTON -- It's that time of year again where we are already beginning the plans for Groton's annual Halloween parade and celebration.

It is run by the Florence Roche-Boutwell PTA and open to the community. This year should be a great year for the parade with plans already underway; it is looking very special.

The date is Sunday, Oct. 27. Children should gather on Main Street at the old Prescott School next to Moison's Ace Hardware for at 2:30-2:40 p.m. The parade will begin promptly at 3 p.m. and will be led by a very special guest who will be visiting Groton from out of town. The children will NOT want to miss this one!

The parade will go down Main Street, turn right onto Broadmeadow, then turn left to the town field. Wagons and strollers are welcome and encouraged.

At the field there will be a dance party with a DJ, face-painting, balloon artist, games with prizes and refreshments.

There is no rain date for this event, but any cancellations will be posted on the PTA website the day of the event: https://sites.google.com/site/florencerocheboutwellpta/home.
