GROTON -- The voter registration deadline for the Monday, Oct. 21, fall Town Meeting is Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 8 p.m.

This deadline applies to new Groton voters only. Currently registered voters do not have to re-register.

You must be 18 years old by Town Meeting day to vote to register and participate.

The Fall Town Meeting will address the articles contained in the warrant. The warrant for the fall Town Meeting will be mailed to each household in Groton by Oct. 7, and is also available at townofgroton.org.

Key articles for this meeting include purchase of police cruisers, Park Commission improvements to town property, fire protection for Lost Lake, Concept Plan approvals for 128 Main St. (Groton Inn replacement) and Squannacook Hall in West Groton and votes on the Personnel Bylaw and Senior Work-Off Program.

Town Meeting will be held at the Groton-Dunstable Middle School Performing Arts Center, 344 Main St. It is open to all Groton registered voters. Voter registration can be done by mail or in person at the town clerk's office
