The Screening Room in Historic Grange Hall raises the curtain on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m. for the film "Safety Not Guaranteed."

One of the most overlooked films of the year, this quirky indie comedy follows a team of journalists who are dispatched to find out who's behind a classified advertisement which seeks a companion for time travel. A film with an imaginative plot, it is well acted with smart and clever dialogue.

Winner of numerous awards, including the 2012 Sundance Film Festival Screenwriting Award, "Safety Not Guaranteed" was also nominated for the Sundance Grand Jury Prize; 2013 Independent Spirit Award; and the Phoenix Film Critics Society Award, among others.

The cast includes Aubrey Plaza, Mark Duplass, Jake M. Johnson, Karan Soni and Kristen Bell. The film is rated R.

Admission to all Screening Room events is free, however, donations are gladly accepted. Refreshments will be available.

The Screening Room shows independent art house films in an intimate setting upstairs in Historic Groton Grange Hall.
