GROTON -- On Dec. 21, the Groton Woman's Club will be hosting its annual Holiday Tea at the Union Congregational Church.
Once again, the award winning Groton-Dunstable High School Chorus, under the direction of Tim Savoy, will be performing an excellent program for this December meeting. Following the program, there will be a holiday tea chaired by hostesses Barbara Badstubner, Tracey Molaskey and Cindy Thompson.
For several years, members of the Groton Woman's Club have been making patriotic quilts to be sent to a hospital in Germany where severely wounded servicemen and women are sent to recover from injuries received on battlefields in Iraq and Afghanistan. These quilts are part of the Soldiers' Angels program. The 300th quilt finished by the quilters will be on display at the meeting before it is shipped overseas.
