Lunch by Nashoba Tech with Piano Concert & Girl Scout 100th Anniversary Memorabilia: noon, Senior Center: Start the holiday season off by letting the culinary students from Nashoba Tech cook for you. This month is a choice of roast sirloin or seafood kabob. Both dishes will be served with a Caesar salad, rice and dessert. Since pianist Carol Graves was unable to attend November's Women's Club, she will instead be entertaining us after lunch. Through the afternoon be sure to check out the Girl Scouts' 100th Anniversary display. It includes wonderful old photos and memorabilia. If you were a Girl Scout or a leader, you are invited to sign the commemorative guest book. Cost for lunch is $10 & optional $2 tip. Sign-up at the Senior Center front desk or call 978-448-1170.

Fuel assistance program accepting donations

The nonprofit "Friends of the Groton Elders" is accepting donations to provide much-needed fuel assistance to seniors as winter approaches. Please make checks payable to "Friends of the Groton Elders" and write "Fuel assistance" in the "Note" section.

Transfer station will accept storm debris through Dec. 15

The Groton Transfer Station will accept storm debris from Hurricane Sandy through Dec. 15, for no charge (Groton residents only).

Well adult clinic

Nashoba Associated Boards of Health, in conjunction with the Groton Board of Health, announces that announces that a Well Adult Clinic will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Senior Center, 163 West Main St., Groton. Drop in for blood pressure, pulse screening and diet teaching. No appointment is necessary. Household hazardous waste collection

Groton residents may bring hazardous materials for disposal to the Devens Regional Household Hazardous Products Collection Center at 9 Cook St. (rear) on the first Wednesday and following Saturday of each month (Dec. 5 and 8), from 9 a.m. to noon, except for holidays and weather-permitting.

The cost for residents is $20 for up to five gallons or five pounds of material.

Businesses must pre-register.
