Guided Trail Hike: Join members of the Groton Trails Committee on a guided hike at 2 p.m. sharp. We will start out on the trails of Brooks Orchard, then hike to the top of Chestnut Hill, one of the two highest points in Groton, affording nice views. We will continue on to enjoy the trails of the Groton Hills conservation area. Our hike will take about one and one-half hours and is suitable for families with children. Dogs must be well behaved and leashed. Wear comfortable hiking shoes. The hike will be held unless it is very stormy. Meet for the hike at Orchard Lane and park by the side of the road.

New Town Hall Hours
In an effort to make Town Hall more accessible to residents who work full time and cannot get to Town Hall during normal business hours, the Board of Selectmen has voted, effective Sept. 10, to change the Town Hall Hours as follows:
Monday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
SAVE THE DATE
Murder, mystery dinner theater at the Christian Union Church
This comedy entitled "Murder, Mayhem and the Marshmallow Salad" will keep you roaring.
The date: Saturday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m. Come, eat dinner with the actors/actresses. Menu includes appetizers, baked chicken breast dinner, dessert along with laughter (provided by you).
There is also audience participation. See if you can guess who the murderer might be.
Tickets must be purchased in advance for $25 per person. No refunds.
