Is your son or daughter interested in scouting? If so, here is a great opportunity to get a flavor for Scouting and see what it's all about. Groton's three Scouting organizations -- the Girls Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts -- are having their first Scout-O-Rama on Saturday, Sept.15, at Town Field behind the library. From 2 until 6, the public is invited to come down and get a sense for what scouting in Groton is all about. Attendees are invited to join in on several Scouting-related activities such as knot tying, orienteering, lashing, learning how to build a fire, etc. In addition, we'll have games and other activities throughout the afternoon.
Even if scouting isn't currently in your son or daughter's plans, you are welcome to stop on by for an afternoon of fun. Groton scouting looks forward to seeing you at our event.
